LEWISTON - A crash on U.S. 95 Tuesday morning sent one man to the hospital.

It happened at mile post 303 near the Nez Perce National Historical Park at about 9:30 a.m.

ISP Lieutenant Allan Oswald said a 97 GMC pickup driven by Oscar Wilson of Ruebens slowed in the northbound lane as the truck in front of it made a left turn into a field.

A semi was behind Wilson and Oswald said it did not stop in time, rear-ending the pickup.

Wilson's passenger, Kevin Weyertz of Winchester, was transported by Lewiston Medics to Saint Joe’s for neck and back pain.

The driver of the semi, Donald Heartmeier of Spokane Valley was cited by ISP for following too closely.
