LEWISTON - A Lewiston man who prompted a three-day interstate search for him and his son will soon appear in a Nez Perce County courtroom.

According to Umatilla County District Attorney Dean Gushwa, 39-year-old Charles Remacle waived extradition in Umatilla County Wednesday morning.

Nez Perce County Deputy Prosecutor Mia Vowels said she expects Remacle to be in court this week. Remacle is charged with custodial interference for allegedly not returning his son Colin to his mother following a visitation.

He was arrested at a Pendleton casino Thursday and is also facing a resisting arrest charge in Umatilla County.
