CLARKSTON - Clarkston Fire crews quickly knocked down a grass fire near the Snake River Sunday.

It happened at about 5:30 p.m. on the Hillside north of Beachview Park, off of 2nd Street.

Firefighters on scene said the fire burned a little less than a quarter acre of the hillside.

It was the second fire that ignited part of the same hillside in the last two weeks. Firefighters did not determine a cause, and said everything was so dry, "any little thing could have started it."
