MOSCOW - Duane Nellis is happy to be back on the Palouse.

The former Kansas State University Provost just took up the post as UI's 17th president last week. He hasn't called it home for very long, but he and a group of UI representatives said they are relieved to be back in Moscow after a week-long listening tour.

A busy week began in Idaho Falls, and the tour continued through Southern Idaho to the Parma Research Center, then back up to Coeur D'Alene Thursday.

At a reception at the University Inn in Moscow Friday afternoon, Nellis said the trip was tiring, but valuable.

Nellis will be in Lewiston at the Red Lion on Wednesday.
