Senior Andy Burdin was announced as the winner of the statewide collegiate design competition.
"I was really thrilled last year with Trevor Nesbitt's really great submission and it just kind of got me fired up to set a yearly goal, to be able to submit the best design that I could come up with this year and just do the best job I could," said winner Andy Burdin.
This is the second year in a row a LCSC graphic design student has won the competition. The theme of Burdin's scratch ticket is Vault Buster.
"I was inspired by Oceans 11,12 and 13 which are some of my favorite movies. I'd been listening to the soundtracks during the time that the contest started," said Buster. "It really got me thinking about what could be a really good concept, that was just really different from anything I'd seen and it worked out."
Burdin won a $1,000 scholarship. Another LC student, Amanda Strong, won third place and $200 for her Fortune Grove design.
Both scratch tickets will be eligible for official sale next year.
