CLARKSTON – It’s spruced up and ready to roll. Lancer Lanes and Casino has a group of new owners who have put a lot of work into fixing up the old building.

"We have a complete clean up, repainted the outside, repainted the inside," said co-owner Mark Greene. "We've just got things refurbished with the mini-golf outside. So we have new greens on the golf course out there and it's a nice place to play now. It's a good place to bring your kids and family."

Greene said they have also hung new signs and replaced old carpet in the casino and lounge.

"We have done lots of remodeling," said Greene. "We have more to do, but the place is looking better than it has in years."

As part of the new ownership, Greene said they have paid off old debts to the City of Clarkston and are hoping to be a positive business for the Valley.

"The City of Clarkston has been wonderful to work with," said Greene. "Donna Engle and all the council people have worked real well with us and we have been able to get that debt paid off and taken care of. So we basically just need to get the word out around the Valley that the place is cleaned up, suitable and we've got professional people here."

Greene said customers have been thrilled with the transformation.

"We changed out the lighting," said Greene. "Put in all new lighting and brightened up the entire place. The seniors here seem to love that. So far people are loving what they've seen."

As part of grand opening weekend, if you mention this story Greene said he will give you a free $5 match play in the casino. Also this weekend the Lost Boyz will be playing in the evening through Sunday. There will also be a ribbon cutting Sunday at 5:30.
