LEWISTON – It was a bit like camping for a cause.

The Cardboard Box City at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Lewiston was home for volunteers Friday night. Organizers from Family Promise said the idea is to raise money for homeless families in the Valley.

"I am hoping because the weather is just awesome right now that people will come out and have a good time," said Family Promise Board Member Toni Kraut. "We have live music and entertainment, we have door prizes. It would be a great family event for the evening."

Each box cost $100 to sponsor.
