LEWISTON - A slow ride down a torn-up grade.

Work continues on highway 95 down the Lewiston grade. Idaho Transportation Department crews have effectively torn up much of a battered southbound lane.

ITD officials said last winter took a toll on the road, which hadn't had this type of seal put on it in eight years. ITD said this seal should last another eight years.

Traffic was slowed, and pushed to the shoulder through much of the top half of the grade. Idaho State Police said the reduced speed is posted multiple times and a couple miles prior to the zone.

The eight mile project should be finished by the beginning of October.
