Orofino triplets begin senior year

Jasper triplets talk about their plans after high school

By Matt Loveless

OROFINO - Class is back in session, and a new round of "graduates to be" hit the books for the year.

It's three times the excitement for some Maniacs up the Clearwater.

Jade plays softball, and is on the dance team this year. Jenny plays softball; she's on the dance team. Jessie plays softball and is shooting for the WSU dance team.

As if they didn't already have enough in common.

It's been a life in the spotlight for the Jasper triplets, and now the Clearwater Valley's notorious trio are seniors.

"It's great," said Jade.

"I'm scared," said Jenny.

"It doesn't really feel like anything different, same old schoolwork," said Jessie.

Collectively they have more than 52 years of life experience. Okay, that's only 17 and a half apiece, but it's part of a life that's never boring and apparently, never private.

The first day of school was Wednesday, and the girls rolled up in their green Geo Metro for the last-first time in Orofino. Jenny said mom wants them to go to LCSC, but after a childhood joined at the hip, the girls are gearing up for adulthood, wherever that may be.

"I want to go to WSU, and try out for their dance team," said Jessie.

"I think I might go down to California and go to school with our cousin Jennifer, but I don't know if that is going to happen or not," said Jade.

" I want to play college soccer, so I am leaning that way," said Jenny. Then I was looking into criminal justice or dance or something like that."
