OROFINO - A mother and son appeared Friday in an Orofino courtroom.

Theresa Graber answered to one felony count of influencing or intimidating a witness in front of Magistrate Judge Randall Robinson.

Additionally, her son Patrick Graber is charged with lewd conduct with a minor under age 16. According to testimony by Orofino Police officer Zachary Ward, the investigation into the incident started in 2006, but was re-opened early this month.

Patrick Graber's preliminary hearing was continued until September 5, 2008.

Prosecutor's called witnesses in Theresa Graber's case, and played a recording of what police said was a threatening message on the phone of Patrick's ex-wife, Amanda Graber.

"I hope your prepared for secrets to be told on everyone and everything that I know," said the alleged audio recording of Theresa. Hold on to your pants," said the recording.

Theresa was bound over to district court on the charge. She's scheduled for an arraignment on September 8.

Patrick Graber's family made headlines when his young son, Patrick Junior, died last July after his step grandmother, Rita Johnston, left him in an SUV on a hot day.
