Moderate air quality for the L-C Valley
LEWISTON, ID - With all the fires burning around the region it's no surprise air quality has suffered.

According to the DEQ, air quality has been downgraded from good to moderate and is expected to remain like that for the next few days. Most of the smoke around the area is from the Big Cougar fire and according to fire officials it will get smokier, with plans for back burning to stop the fire. DEQ leaders said air quality is at its poorest during the evening and the early morning hours. People with breathing sensitivities as well as young children should limit outside exposure.
