Children from five through teens can sign up for summer programs
LEWISTON, ID - Kids have been out of school for almost a month. If your kids haven't found anything to do, there’s a local organization that has a program they might be interested in.

The Boys and Girls Clubs of the L-C Valley not only offer after-school programs for our kids, but also a summer program. It runs from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. every week day. It's offered at clubs in Lewiston, Clarkston and Lapwai.

Andrea Van Vogt is the Unit Director at the Lewiston club. She said they serve over 600 kids in the Valley every day.

"We offer tons of programs, a lot of educational programs, sports programs and arts and crafts,” said Vogt. “There’s something for everyone and it gives kids something to do, besides sit at home."

Kids as young as five years old can sign up and Van Vogt said the club isn't just for the youngsters. They have a lot of older kids come to hang out and there are several leadership programs offered for teens.

It costs $25 for kids to go and that's an annual membership fee. It lasts from September through August.
