Pool repairs and upgrades could happen later in the year
PULLMAN, WA – Good news for anyone living near Pullman this summer, it turns out the Pullman pool closure won’t be a problem.

The outdoor pool at Reaney Park will open later this month.

Pullman Parks and Recreation Superintendent Kurt Dahmen said the bid for the construction projects they had planned came back much higher than expected, so they are going to wait on the upgrades and open the pool two weeks from today.

"It was kind of completely unexpected, we were thinking it would be closed so park staff were onto other projects, but I've kind of refocused, and been working on Reaney for the last week, so June 25th we'll be opening," said Dahmen.

The pools have water in them now; it’s just a matter of getting them to the right temperatures and chemical levels.

Reaney Pool will be open from 1:00-6:00 p.m. seven days a week.

Dahmen said the pool repairs and upgrades could happen later in the year, but the Parks and Rec Department will have to come up with a brand new game plan and possibly split the project into a couple of segments.
