University Inn hosts GOP Convention event
MOSCOW, ID – Politically active Republicans from across Idaho will flock to Moscow this week for the State GOP Convention.

The convention will officially kick-off tomorrow at 5:00 p.m. with a dinner at the Best Western University Inn Convention Center. Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee is the featured speaker that night. He’s the host of a weekend show on the FOX News Channel and he has his own syndicated radio show. Governor Butch Otter and other local leaders will also be in town for the convention.

"Several of the United State Senators and Congressmen,” said Idaho Republican Convention VIP Coordinator Shirley Green. “Also, local and state representatives from all over Idaho so it is a good time to get out and meet the politicians and maybe bend their ear a little bit and tell them what you'd like to see happen. "

The headlining event will happen on Friday night, and Senator Rand Paul is scheduled to speak at the Kibbie Dome on the University of Idaho campus. He is rumored to be a potential 2016 Presidential candidate. If you can’t make it to the main events, you can always stop by the Kibbie Dome on Friday or Saturday. The convention is open to the public and there will be plenty of events going on.
