GRANGEVILLE (AP) - Mark Lankford, who killed two people in Idaho County in 1983, has been sentenced to life in prison.

Second District Judge John H. Bradbury sentenced Lankford on Thursday to two consecutive life sentences without possibility of parole.

An Idaho County jury convicted the 51-year-old Lankford in February for killing Marine Capt. Robert Bravence and his wife, Cheryl.

Lankford was originally convicted for the killings in 1984 and sentenced to death.

But that case was overturned early last year by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, leading to the new trial.

Lankford says he will file another appeal.
