LEWISTON, ID - Brain storming sessions for transportation in the Valley were held Tuesday by the Lewis-Clark Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization.

Community members and leaders alike were invited to provide input on possible ideas for a transportation plan also known as "Valley Destination 2040." LSA Associates Principal Ray Moe asked participants what they think the Valley should look like in 2040 and how to improve efficiency on local roadways.

"Where's the community at today and mobility?," said Moe. "How do we get around? What sort of different facilities do you have? We want to take a little bit at the growth of the area and our target is for the year 2040."

Transit, motor vehicle congestion and emergency response times were just a few things the participants were asked to review.

The first session was held Tuesday afternoon in Clarkston, and a second session was held 6:30 at the Lewiston Police Training Center.
