Former Orofino police officer arraigned on aggravated battery charge

OROFINO - A former Orofino Police officer appeared in court in Orofino Monday on an aggravated battery charge.
28-year-old Jereme Daw was terminated from the department on December 17, 2007 as the result of allegations that he had engaged in a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old girl. According to court documents, Daw and the girl allegedly had the relationship from October to December of last year. Daw was arraigned in front of Magistrate judge Randall Robinson. Nez Perce County Chief Deputy Prosecutor Sandra Dickerson, who is prosecuting the case at the request of the Clearwater County Prosecutor’s Office, was not present. Daw waived his right to a speedy preliminary hearing. He is scheduled to be back in court on June 9. |
