LEWISTON - The business of breakfast opens up in Lewiston. IHOP, on the corner of Thain and Stewart Avenue, recently flipped its first pancake, and Wednesday officials held a grand opening.
Business was booming at 8:00 in the morning. "They've been patient with us," said General Manager Lynn Griswold. "They been patient with our employees, who most of them are learning. Some of them, this is their first job, certainly their first job as cooks and servers, and they're phenomenal kids. Absolutely phenomenal." The famous pancake chain began serving customers on April 29, but Griswold said they were cutting the ribbon Wednesday to make sure residents know they're there. "It's also a way of letting people know that we are certainly happy that they've welcomed us to the community, and to tell them all thank you," she said. |
