Orofino man sentenced on rape, lewd conduct charges

OROFINO - An Orofino man was sentenced in 2nd District Court on Tuesday on rape and lewd conduct charges.

On February 15, Charles E. Trumble, 45, pleaded guilty to the charges. He was arrested October 31 on charges of rape, incest, lewd conduct with a minor and sexual abuse of a child.

Trumble has a lengthy criminal record, including an outstanding warrant out of Canada for similar sexual abuse charges.

Judge John Stegner sentenced Trumble to 5 to 25 years in prison for each of the charges, to be served concurrently.

He also ordered Trumble to pay $10,000 in fees.

Trumble will be required to register as a sex offender upon his release.
