It's not quite a done deal yet, but Harrison Ford told a reporter on the red carpet recently that he was pretty sure that the old cast would be reuniting for the recently-announced final chapters of the Star Wars franchise. And yes, he is planning to reprise the role of that scruffy-looking nerf-herder, Han Solo.

Speaking to WGN9, Ford cautioned that while the entire cast list isn't "in the bag" just yet, he was "looking forward to it."

The latest installment of the billion-dollar franchise made headlines when Disney purchased Lucasfilm, causing fans to worry about the fate of future films. However, Disney has promised to go "all in" on the films, and has released statements about remaining dedicated to the legacy.

Episode VII is slated for release in 2015, but that isn't stopping critics and fans from speculating about who may or may not be getting a role. So far, original cast members Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Billy Dee Williams and Anthony Daniels (who played C3PO) are all rumored to be on board
