LONDON - Injured actor Harrison Ford is facing his health crisis "like a real trooper" and is determined to return to the set of the new "Star Wars" movie as soon as possible, according to co-star Andy Serkis.

The Hollywood veteran is reprising his role of Han Solo in the upcoming sci-fi installment "Star Wars: Episode VII," but his work on the movie has been put on hold after he suffered a broken leg last month in an on-set accident.

He has undergone surgery and is now able to walk with the aid of a crutch, and British actor Serkis, who also stars in the movie, has revealed Ford is determined to get back to work soon.

Serkis tells The New Review magazine, "Poor guy. But apparently he's been - pardon the pun - a real trooper. He wants to get back on set as quickly as possible and get on with it."
