Police arrest second suspect in connection to assaulting WSU professor

Police arrest second suspect in connection to assaulting WSU professor
PULLMAN, WA - Pullman Police Chief Gary Jenkins was correct in predicting that more arrests in the David Warner assault investigation would be imminent.

A few hours after Madeline Fouts was taken into custody, police arrested a second suspect in the investigation.

Police asked 23-year-old Washington State University student Joshua Nantz to come to the police station at about 7:30p.m. Wednesday night. He was arrested for Assault in the first degree, which is a Class A felony. He was taken to the Whitman County Jail and he will likely make his first appearance in court Thursday.

Fouts was released from police custody and is cooperating with investigators. She isn't considered a danger to the community.
