OROFINO, ID - The Idaho Department of Correction has found an inmate who escaped from the Idaho Correctional Institution in Orofino Friday morning.

Forty-seven-year-old Michael Dean Henderson escaped sometime between 6 and 8 a.m. Investigators have not released information as to how he escaped. Henderson was located shortly before four o'clock Friday afternoon on Highway 12 across from Mountain Motor Sports.

He was convicted of possession of a controlled substance, trafficking by attempting to manufacture, and grand theft by possession in Kootenai and Bonner counties. He's currently in custody and will be returning to the Idaho Department of Corrections later in the evening.
