LEWISTON, ID - A Clarkston man pleaded guilty to one count of lewd conduct with a child under the age of 16.

Christopher Cable, 39, appeared in 2nd District Court Thursday before Judge Carl Kerrick. Cable pleaded guilty to one of five counts of lewd conduct with a child under the age of 16 as part of a Rule 11 agreement with the State.

"Can you tell me why you are pleading guilty at this time Mr. Cable?" asked Judge Kerrick.

"Because that is an accurate charge your honor," said Cable.

"What's set forth in count five is a true statement?" asked Kerrick.

"That's correct," said Cable.

Judge Kerrick will approve or deny the Rule 11 agreement which would dismiss the other four counts of lewd conduct.

According to court documents, Cable was charged for several inappropriate incidents that occurred from 2007 to 2010.

If found guilty, Cable could face a maximum of 25 years in prison and a $50,000 fine.

The sentencing is scheduled for June 14th.
