Idaho men arrested with more than 8 pounds of pot, troopers say
LAKEVIEW, Ore. -- Oregon State Police arrested two Idaho men, after they say they found more than eight pound of pot in their vehicle.
Authorities say that on Monday just after 4 p.m., a trooper made a traffic stop on Highway 395 near Lakeview. Officials say the vehicle was a 2001 Ford Expedition, being driven by Jonathan D. Kilby, 24, of McCall, Idaho.
Troopers say an investigation led to the discovery of over 8 pounds of marijuana inside an ice cooler in the back of the vehicle.
Kilby and his passenger, Steven P. Rawling, 27, of Emmett, Idaho, were both arrested and charged by police with unlawful possession and distribution of marijuana.
Both men were cited and released.
The OSP Drug Enforcement Section is continuing the investigation.
