Grangeville High School bomb threat closes school for the day

GRANGEVILLE, ID - Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 5:49 a.m., Grangeville Police responded to the report of a bomb threat at Grangeville High School, located on South D Street in Grangeville.

Officers recovered written material reporting that a bomb had been placed on the school grounds. The material was located by employees reporting for work. Officers and Idaho County Sheriff’s deputies arrived and after a cursory examination of the item, called for the Boise Police Department Explosives Disposal Unit to respond to the scene. The school was closed for the day.

South C, D, and E streets are closed at the junction of Lincoln Street. Additional details will be released when they become available.
