Fiery head-on collision in Lenore sends three to hospital

LENORE, ID - Three people, including a young two year old boy, all from Orofino were sent to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston because of a head-on crash just before 3 p.m. Wednesday.

It happened in Lenore and on Highway 12. Traffic was at a stand-still for hours. Idaho State Police said that 88-year-old Donald Adair pulled onto the Highway from the rest area, attempting to make a left turn.

Police said Adair did not yield from the stop sign to 36-year-old Lisa Miller's car and that she was unable to avoid the crash. Miller and her passengers, 23-year-old Kelsye Praest and 2-year-old Jayden Monaghan were able to get out of the car before it became fully engulfed in flames. They were all rushed to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center. Their condition is not known. The investigation continues.
