The expansion will correct a lot of problems with the parking lots and the smoking and non-smoking sections inside the casino.
The project was originally planned to start early last fall, but some final negotiations with the construction contract have taken longer than expected. The casino will undergo a face lift as renovations occur to create a more versatile and attractive facility.
"Overall, the goal is to bring more customers in," said Nez Perce Tribal Committee Treasurer Joel Moffett. "Provide them with a better experience, a more exciting experience and hope that they will stay a while."
Moffet said the new expansion will correct a lot of problems with the parking lots and the smoking and non-smoking sections inside the casino. There will also be a rehabilitation onto the gaming floor and a new event center will be added onto the current facility.
