KENDRICK - Smelling bad is the least of the problems.

That's what Idaho Drug Free Youth leaders at Kendrick High say about smoking.

The group is celebrating Tobacco Prevention Month and on Tuesday the club had a display set up at the school to warn about tobacco hazards.

"Theses are actually pig lungs, they are similar to human lungs and we are demonstrating to our youth not to smoke, this is what your lung looks like if you smoke," said IDFY member Dakota Callahan.

"How much better a non-smoker's lung works than a smoker's lung basically," said IDFY Member Chet Christopher.

The seniors said it's important for them to talk to younger students about the dangers of chewing and smoking.

"They look up to us, we are like their role models and they do what we do," said Callahan.

"Plus younger kids think smoking is cool and then they get addicted and then they are hooked for life," said Christopher. "It's good for them to know when they are young that their lungs could look like that in a couple years."
