LEWISTON - A former Nez Perce County employee has filed a tort claim against the county and commissioner Mike Grow.

Judy Wilson worked for the Nez Perce County Planning and Building Department for four years. The tort claim filed by Miller Wednesday states that from January 1, 2009 through September 16, 2009 Grow created a "discriminatory, hostile working environment" for her.

The claim goes on to state that Grow's conduct was physically threatening to Wilson in her office and humiliating and insulting to her in public.

Wilson also claims discrimination on the basis of gender.

It states as a result of "the hostile work environment," Wilson was constructively terminated.

The claim estimates injuries of lost wages, lost benefits and bodily injury created by the impact of a hostile work environment to be $280,000, plus costs and attorney fees.

On Thursday Grow said he has no comment concerning the filing. He said Wilson resigned from her position.
