ASOTIN - Local police are on the lookout for a man accused of kidnapping.

42-year-old Paul Evans Winklebleck is known to pose as a police officer and he may be interested in suicide by an officer.

According to Clarkston Police, he's considered armed and dangerous and has felony warrants. Police said he kidnapped two women in Portland last week, took them to a remote area and assaulted one of them. They eventually escaped.

Winklebleck is also a registered sex offender.

Clarkston Police said a woman found his cell phone along Highway 12 between Clarkston and Pomeroy Thursday afternoon. She called the number to try and identify the owner and discovered that he was wanted in Portland for the kidnapping. She turned the phone in to Clarkston Police.

Winklebleck is described as a white male, 5 feet 11 inches tall with a stocky build and short, reddish-brown hair, a goatee and a mustache.

He may be driving a green GMC Sonoma, possibly with a black canopy and an Oregon plate numbered 289 EPF.
