According to a the Idaho County Sheriff's Office, the team consisted of local volunteers. Team members used their GPS and map reading skills, winching, trail clearing, binocular skills, and their knowledge of the area r backyard to conduct the training.
A scenario set up by the ATV team leader involved a lost horn hunter with a heart condition. Members of the team found the hunter’s campsite, tracked him to his location under his ATV where he had lost control and wrecked over a bank. The team worked to get the ATV off the hunter and prepared him for a Life Flight transport out of the area.
