Annual “Cruise the World” event at UI draws hundreds to the SUB to experience other cultures.

Hundreds of people crowded into UI's Student Union Building Ballroom Saturday for the annual Cruise the World experience.
For just $15, an entire family could cruise the room to visit over 40 booths from countries as diverse as Peru, New Zealand, South Korea and Thailand, with plenty of stops in between.
There were all kinds of interesting food to sample and all kinds of interesting pieces of art and other items reflecting each nation's specialties.
There was also live entertainment with an international flare. And each person attending had their "cruise" passports stamped at each stop, They were also able to participate in interactive learning opportunities.
The International Friendship Association puts on the popular event every year.
