LEWISTON - A LCSC sorority is raising money in style this weekend.

The local chapter of Lambda Theta Alpha, along with alumni and sorority sisters around the Northwest, will be strutting the runway Saturday night for a good cause.

On Friday, organizers were at the Silverthorne Theatre setting up.

"This is our fifth annual fashion show," said organizer Magali Guerrero. "Every year we try to advertise it as much as we can and really ask the community to come out and support this show, since it is a benefit fundraiser. All of the profits go to a family."

This year, 2-year-old Kaylee Fitzgerald is the recipient.

"At six-months-old she wasn't crawling, walking, sitting up, doing other things that a normal six-month-old child would do," said Kaylee's mother Ashley Ison.

Kaylee still doesn't walk, talk or crawl. She goes to ten therapy sessions a week but needs a muscle biopsy test to figure out what is wrong with her.

This fundraiser will help pay for that.

"Admission is a donation," said Guerrero. "We'll also be doing some raffles from local community business owners that have donated stuff for the fashion show."

The Fashion Shows Begins at 5 p.m. Saturday night in the Silverthorne Theatre on the LC campus.

There will also be entertainment and a slideshow so you can get to know Kaylee.
