COLTON - The body of a Colton H.S. science teacher was found by search teams Monday morning in the Snake River breaks west of Colton.

Glenn Voshell, 45, was reported missing Saturday night after he failed to return from a bird hunting outing he had left on Saturday afternoon.

The Whitman County Sheriff's Office says it appears Voshell fell some 400 feet to his death.

His vehicle was found Saturday evening, in an area where he reportedly had gone hunting on numerous occasions. Search crews spent Saturday night, all day Sunday and into the early morning hours of Monday looking for him. His body was found about 1.5 miles from his vehicle.

Search crews believe they also found his dog, which had accompanied him on the hunting trip.

The Whitman County Coroner will determine the cause and manner of death.

Search crews from Whitman, Latah and Nez Perce counties were involved in the search, along with the Whitman Co. Emergency Support Team, Whitman Co. Emergency Management, Spokane County, air crews from Fairchild Air Force Base, the Border Patrol and the Spokane Co. Sheriff's Office.

Over 200 personnel assisted with the search.
