ASOTIN - Asotin County Commissioner Doug Mattoon says a resignation letter from Asotin County Family Aquatic Center director Susan Beaurain was received by commissioners Monday.

Mattoon said Beaurain said she learned of a job opportunity closer to home in the Midwest and accepted the position. He said no other reason for her resignation was given.
Beaurain has been with the center for four years. December 31 will be her last day.

Mattoon said the board will soon begin having a discussion about recruitment and replacement.
