City leaders voted in March to spend $50,000 to tear down the building, after Timberworks Incorporated bought it. Controversy led to the demolition being delayed and in May the contractor asked to be released from the contract.
Some nine months later the building still stands.
Representatives of the Depot Preservation Committee said right now they're at a stand-still with the city council about what to do with the property. The Juliaetta-Kendrick Foundation still wants to have the building as a location for archives and says they'll continue to work to preserve it..
City officials are currently not commenting about the matter.
