Mallory trial still on for March

LEWISTON - A Lewiston is scheduled for to be tried in March for his wife's murder.

Gary Mallory Jr. is facing murder and battery charges. His wife was found dead of strangulation in their Lewiston home on Valentine's Day of this year.

His trial was set to begin this week, but in a hearing last month, Mallory was appointed a new attorney, and will now a face a jury in March.

Mallory pleaded not guilty to the charges in May, and through his attorney Neil Cox waived his right to a speedy trial during a hearing Monday.

Mallory will next be in court on February 19. Jury selection for the trial is set for March 8. He remains in the Nez Perce County Jail without bond.
