Sheriff Ken Bancroft said at about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday a man in a white full-size truck with a rollbar, lights on top and a brush guard reportedly followed a 10-year-old boy as he walked to Highland Elementary.
Police said at one point the man got out of the truck and walked toward the boy, but the boy ran off, got out his cell phone and the man left.
The man is described as stocky, between 30 and 40 years old with a Fu Manchu mustache, about 5'10 and dressed in black.
Bancroft said they received reports of a similar incident happening at Parkway Elementary about a week and a half ago. If you see the truck or know of it, you're asked to call 509-758-2331.
