LEWISTON - A Lewiston man will get a psychological evaluation before his next hearing on a custodial interference charge.

Police said Charles Remacle prompted a nationwide search after allegedly not returning his son Colin to his mother following a visitation.

Remacle was in Nez Perce County Magistrate Court Wednesday morning. Defense attorney Robert Van Idour filed the motion for the evaluation. Judge Kent Merica suspended proceedings until Health and Welfare decides if Remacle is competent.

Remacle will remain in the Nez Perce County Jail during the evaluation process.
