CLARKSTON - The Clarkston Education Foundation honored two "Legends of Clarkston" Thursday afternoon.

Debbie Romesburg and Jim Poindexter were chosen by the foundation for their commitment to education. The award is given out every other year and this is the second time it has been given out.

Romesburg teaches Family and Consumer sciences and has been teaching at Clarkston High for 17 years. Poindexter was athletic director and principal and spent 30 years as a Bantam.

Poindexter actually hired Romesburg.

"There are lots of legends who are teachers and principals," said Romesburg. "So I feel like I represent a whole lot of people who could be standing here."
