CULDESAC - Three people were injured in a head-on collision Sunday afternoon.
It happened just before 3:00 on Highway 95 about a half mile from the Thunderbird Smoke Shop in Culdesac. Trooper Travis Height said two teenage brothers, Jacob and Maxton Homer, were returning to Eagle, Idaho from church camp. According to Height, 19-year-old Jacob Homer fell asleep at the wheel of his 2003 Mazda, causing his southbound car to enter the northbound lane. Clayton Plemmors of Kennewick was in the northbound lane in a 2007 Nissan and tried to swerve into the shoulder, but was unable to avoid a head-on collision. All three were transported to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. Jacob Homer and Plemmors, 53, were listed in fair condition Monday. 13-year-old Maxton Homer was treated and released. All three were wearing their seat belts. |
