POST FALLS, Idaho (AP) — A Post Falls couple has been charged with misdemeanor injury to a child after police say they left their 5-month-old baby in a car during a trip to Wal-Mart.

Mark Keinholz, 42, and Traci Jurasin, 35, were charged Wednesday. Post Falls police Lt. Pat Knight said the baby boy did not have heat exhaustion but was placed in a Health and Welfare shelter after the incident.

Knight said the couple have five children and told police that each thought the other parent was carrying the baby. A shopper called police after hearing the baby crying inside the unlocked car with rolled-down windows.
