RIGGINS – A Clarkston man who had been reported missing last week is fine.

The Asotin County Sheriff’s Office says Michael T. Pointer, 42, was reported missing by friends who became concerned when he failed to show up for work on June 9.

Captain Dan Hally says friends who had fished with Pointer in the past were looking for him and spotted his pickup near Riggins. They also found Pointer and then called the Sheriff's Office.

The Idaho County Sheriff's Office went to the location and confirmed that it was Pointer. The search was then called off.

Hally says it is unclear why Pointer left without notifying others.
