ASOTIN - A woman who police say stole medication from a care facility she worked at faced a judge in Asotin County Superior Court Monday.

Lisa Nixon is accused of delivery of Oxycodone, two counts of delivery of meth and possession of Psilocybin mushrooms. Each count carries a maximum of 10 years in prison and a $25,000 fine.

Nixon is accused of stealing the Oxycodone from a care facility in Colfax earlier this month. Nixon was reportedly a nurse there.

Her lawyer Neil Cox asked for a bail reduction, but Judge William Acey denied it. It remains at $75,000. She is scheduled to be back in court on July 6.

Also in court on drug charges Monday was Richard Hammond, who is accused of growing over 400 marijuana plants inside his Clarkston home.

He is charged with manufacturing a controlled substance-marijuana, two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm in the second degree and a count of maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, all within 1,000 feet of a school zone or bus stop.

Lawyer Jane Richards said the defense and prosecution are working on a plea deal. Hammond is expected to be back in court on Thursday for a change of plea.
