Woman okay after rollover crash
Lucy Baumgartner gets up from a gurney, after being helped from her vehicle Sunday. By Matt Loveless
LEWISTON - A Genesee woman walked away from a rollover crash on Lindsey Creek Road Sunday.
Police said 79-year old Lucy Baumgartner apparently fell asleep at the wheel when she was southbound on the Nez Perce County Road. Sheriff's deputies responded to find her car on its top about 20 feet down into a ditch. Deputies on scene told said two people saw the crash happen, and had they not, passersby may not have noticed Baumgartner's car in the ditch. Baumgartner was wearing a seat belt and was treated for only minor injuries at the scene. The sheriff's office said no citations were issued. |
