Woman hit by Lincoln County sheriff's vehicle dies
JEROME - Authorities in southern Idaho say a 29-year-old woman has been killed after a Lincoln County sheriff's deputy accidentally drove his vehicle over her.

Authorities say Christopher and Terra Mussaw of Shoshone were traveling southbound on Highway 93 in a 2005 Dodge Neon near the Lincoln/Jerome County line over the weekend.

A deputy from the Lincoln County Sheriff's office was also southbound on the highway behind the Neon.

Idaho State Police says for reasons unknown, the passenger door of the Neon opened and the female passenger, Terra Mussaw, 29, exited the vehicle. The deputy swerved, but was unable to avoid the Shoshone woman.

Mussaw was transported to St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center where she later died of her injuries.

Idaho State Police is continuing its investigation.
