MOSCOW- With spring only about two weeks away, along with all it promises, Old Man Winter is dropping a friendly reminder on the region that he ain’t dead yet.

Certainly not up on the Palouse, the Prairie and other higher elevations.

Downtown Moscow looked all too familiar Thursday morning, with snow and blowing snow.

Everyone was hoping that maybe they could squeak by without this all happening again, but that isn't to be.

Driving was tricky on U.S. 95 Thursday morning as well, as slush and snow, combined with gusty winds made travel treacherous.

By Thursday night U.S. 95 was foggy and heavy snow was falling between Genesee and Moscow, as traffic crept along. Several slide offs could be seen in the median of the four-lane highway.

Winter storm warnings and winter weather advisories are in effect for most of the Quad Cities region.
