LAPWAI - Tribal Police and Nez Perce County Sheriff's deputies responded to a stabbing early Wednesday morning in Lapwai.

It happened sometime after 5:30 a.m. at 145 Joseph Street W.

According to initial reports, a man was stabbed in the stomach at that address. Law enforcement did not provide details at the scene.

Nez Perce Tribal Police were not available for comment about the incident Wednesday afternoon.
