POCATELLO - The body of Idaho Transportation Department employee Eric Elle was discovered Saturday morning by hunters in a grove of Juniper trees in the Coldwater area of Power County.

The cause of death appears to be from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Elle went missing at the beginning of September. At that time authorities said his disappearance was suspicious and launched a region-wide search.

The ongoing investigation is a collaborative effort between the Power County Sheriff's office, the Pocatello Police Department and the Idaho State Police.
